The Nursery

Planning the nursery was one of the things I enjoyed the most throughout my pregnancy. I knew that I wanted to create a positive and functional environment for our daughter.  I’m not a “pink” girl and I’m not big on themes so to speak, so I went with a color scheme and added some elephants since I love them so much. There are several scriptures and inspirational quotes in the room as well.

Color Scheme: Navy, Gray, Coral, Aqua/Teal. Three walls are gray with a navy accent wall.

Furniture: The crib, dresser and changing table are DaVinci. The teal cabinet was purchased from Target and the glider and ottoman were found on Wayfair.com. The shelving is from Ikea.

Bedding: Pottery Barn – Harper Collection in Coral. The large pillow is a Zulily find.

Shag Rug: DIY Project- In other words hours of blood, sweat and tears! This is a photo of it in progress. It turned out to be amazing, but it took forever!!!

Accents/Decor: Most items are from Hobby Lobby and there are quite a few finds from Zulily.

Three months post partum I still haven’t painted the mirror that is supposed to go above the changing table. I will probably place one of her newborn canvas photos in that spot instead. Here is another collage just for fun.
